Committee Duties
- To monitor the implementation and the effectiveness of health and safety regulations in the Chemistry department.
- To make recommendations and take appropriate actions regarding health and safety rules in the department.
- To recommend any safety procedures, such as control of chemicals, safety for staff, students and visitors.
- To issue regulations that grantee the safety of each individual in the department and laboratories.
- To take appropriate measures to create a safe work environment for all employees, students and visitors.
- To ensure that the issued regulations have been implemented appropriately in the department and laboratories.
- To update the central occupational health and safety committee on regular basis.
- To monitor the effectiveness of the Occupational health and safety regulations.
- To take appropriate actions and make suggestions in relation to safety regulations.
- To give lectures and workshops to raise safety awareness among staff members and students.
- To write an annual report and update the head of the department.
